A-Levels as an adult?

I did chemistry and biology A-levels in my mid 20s, as needed for a certain degree. By distance learning / self-study, using a company who sent me all the syllabus, course materials etc to work through. Found a friend with a chemistry degree and bought him coffee a few times while he was answering my questions. Was working full time, albeit in a fairly easy 9-5 job.
I sat the exams and did the lab work (in work holidays) at my old school, after writing a very nice letter to the headmaster.
I found it quite straightforward to work through things, and much easier than it had been at 18. Probably helped that it was science subjects where everything is in small chunks rather than essays; certainly would be harder in English Lit or History to get a sense of how well you are doing. Also I was well motivated. My work were supportive, and I switched off my computer at 5pm on the dot each day and then spent an hour studying at my desk, before arriving home at the same time as my housemates.
Certainly do-able.0
