No pay for travel to extra meetings

I work 20 hours a week over 4 days. Sometimes I attend meetings which are given back as time off in lieu.
My recent pay slip showed I was paid for the hours I attended the meeting and nothing else. Am I entitled to payment for my travel time? I go home and have to come back to work and leave again for each meeting and that equates to about an hour or so for each meeting.
I get paid mileage at a standard rate but I feel I should be paid for my time too. I don't expect to be paid for regular commuting but an additional hour on a meeting day means it's not worth my while to attend the meetings.
I see another post with an issue about not being paid for travel back to the work yard was advised that if below minimum wage then they should be paid - would this be calculated on the two hours of my meeting or on the whole 20 hours I work each week?

I think it's your total salary divided by the hours you are 'working' - including travel and excluding 'ordinary commuting' .
But - you need to check your internal policies and have a conversation with your boss.
Where I work travel time is only ever given as TOIL and expenses are paid at cost.
It's upto the member of staff to agree the amount of TOIL and make arrangements to take it with their manager. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
