MP3 Sound Levels

Some of my MP3's have recorded at lower sound levels than most of the others.
It doesn't seem to be a problem playing them back on most systems.
When I play them back through Windows Media Centre I aways have to go over to the machine and switch the volume up. Is there a way to equalise the volume in WMC or is there a programme where I can increase the volume on MP3's?

I always use MP3 Gain to equalize voluems, very handy if you're putting several albums on one MP3 CD.It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Yes MP3GAIN is the thing to sort this out.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

Another vote for Mp3Gain. It adds a tag to the mp3 detailing how much to increase/decrease the volume for that track. Importantly, it does so without affecting the track itself."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0

Many thanks for your help. I had never heard of Mp3Gain but I have now downloaded it and will give it a go.
I edit and rip my music with Mediamonkey but have to use WMC to play it. You would think Microsoft would have a sound equaliser like Mediamonkey wouldn't you?0
