10/10 week's skiing holiday in Kitzbuhel

http://travel.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/travel/where_was_i/article1271593.ece

1, Yarmouth

2, The Needles (this is going from memory as weren't there 4 and one suffered with erosion and fell into the sea)

"Yarmouth Pier has been awarded a £350,000 lifeline by The Heritage Lottery Fund. It was feared the UK’s longest wooden pier would soon become unsafe, after years of being nibbled away by wood-eating gribbleworms, which live in the sea. The 609ft pier is Grade II listed and opened in 1876."

"Totland Bay Pier was built in 1880 ....It is close to The Needles"
comp says "There, we walk down towards the sea and its little pier, opened in 1880. I simply wish to enjoy the view of a famous landmark (once four, now three) a further 2½ miles southwest, I explain."

    found this

"The Needles is a row of distinctive stacks of chalk that rise out of the sea off the western extremity of the Isle of Wight, England, close to Alum Bay. A lighthouse has stood at the western end of the formation since 1859. The formation takes its name from a needle-shaped pillar called Lot's Wife that used to stand in its midst until it collapsed in a storm in 1764. The remaining rocks are all short and squat and not at all needle-like, but the name has stuck."
