registered self employed - selling things I don't need.

I'm registered self employed or sole trader as a handy man. Ive recently been selling car parts and memorabilia that I have gathered over the years. Most of it is online and through PayPal. Im curious to know whether because I'm self employed I should be giving out invoices with the items I send out? Because I'm really only clearing my garage out but I don't want to be not giving out invoices if I should be and putting it through my business. Any thoughts?
