Payday Issue?

Hello, I'm new to this forum and also new to the workplace, only just start my first month at Waitrose.

I have a payday question, if you get paid on the last Friday of the month which happens to fall on the 25 this month, if you work during the last week of the SAME month AFTER the paycheck, are these paid hours reflected in the paycheck on the 25 or will those hours worked be added to the next months paycheck.

Grateful for any response ASAP
Thanks

regrettably those are impossible questions. I'd refer you to any documentation you were given when you started, or to your line manager at Waitrose.

I can tell you what happens where I work, but that's not Waitrose, and it's different to how it used to work at my previous employers and that wasn't Waitrose either, and it's different again to what used to happen in DH's last job, and how it worked for my sons when they were working for the local cinema ... and guess what ...

you need to find out your

    pay period

The dates they use to calculate a payment, this could be calendar or something like 15th-14th. comapanies are different.

    pay day for that period.

this is the date on which that pay period is paid.
it can be described in many ways, last day 1st of following months last Friday etc.

    ..........
My guess is they are calendar last Friday

will check when I next see those I know that work there.
