Legit job offer?

Hello!
I've applied for a job today and they have instantly gotten back to me offering me the job pending on reference (without an interview, they said based on my experience I'm perfect)

I am a bit skeptical as when something seems to good to be true it usually is! I've researched the company and they seem legit - real website, reviews etc.

They require me to send a bank statement, passport, birth certificate, and my driving licence via email.
( I know this is usual for a DBS check) but I feel uneasy sending all this information when I've never had a face to face interview.

Please, please, please insist face to face.

Had hundreds of interviews and what you state isn't the norm.

Who is the company, are you sure they're legit?

It sounds like they're trying to get all your personal data for goodness knows what reason, but I'd put money on it being dodgy.

I agree with this. After reading the post twice to check whether I thought you were legit! But it does sound like you have left school :) No this isn't normal, and it most certainly isn't normal for a DBS check. For those, and for employment checks too, they must see you, not just your documentation. After all, they have no idea you! are real.

Insist on face by face, say something along the lines that you would like to meet your future employer to discuss the job and evaluate if it's right for you.

Sounds extremely dodgy - no reputable company would just hire someone based on their CV (countless times have I interviewed people who were great on paper and turned out to be extremely unsuitable).

Have you applied via their website? Just wondering if you are actually emailing with someone from the company or if someone is spoofing their email.

Google the name of the company offering you the position. It does not sound to be a legitimate company to me.

I'd suggest doing a lot more than that. Every so often I get an email from my bank. It looks like every other email from my bank. Except my bank do not email customers! To be fair, I also sometimes get emails from banks I don't even bank with inviting me to disclose something or click on a link to prevent fraud. These days, it is very easy to spoof a legitimate company.

I wouldn't bother with a face to face.
