  • You need to ask ti1980 http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/member.html?u=40708 - He/she works at M&S and is in the know about all the sales stuff.

Sorry I've not had time to reply to anyone individually yet. My inbox is now full. Now I know where all the PM's have come from. Thanks Business Student! You work at M&S too don't you? I'm sure you could find out. I generally only find out a couple of days beforehand or the day before, I'm not in 'the know' as it were. Not more so than any other staff anyway.
I'll ask about the next Sale but someone may find out before me.

I work mostly on Foods and Foodstock which is why I can help with Food offers and I post about them but textiles (Clothing, furniture etc) I am quite clueless and tend to only find out when managers or the relevant sales advisors mention it.
The other times I find out is when I see the massive 'sale' signs on the way into work!
Now food is different as I work in that department mostly and I am often on a till which is when I see bargains for myself and also I sometimes deal with phoning head office asking about various items such as whether they have been discontinued for good, if they have been seasonally eliminated (very common occurrence).

Hi. Yes i work for M&S too (although only on the weekend and im on store operations, therefore i dont get a good look at all the offers as you might)

    Some pointers
    * Our store had just 2 boxes left of them chopping boards - so they are going fast!
    * There are some superb offers on the chocolate gift boxes and there is some excellent halloween candy, and im sure i even seen a xmas cake for £4.99!

a dinner suit from matalan is cheaper than hiring and actually look good. prob cheaper than m&s sale too. asda have a reasonable one too.

Dont think it will be dinner suits,it will more than likely be the clothing that has been instore a while from summer ,the party stuff will be in soon and this usually includes dinner jackets,so i would look elsewhere for cheaper like a previous poster said Matalan or even Asda.

You could always look for a M&S outlet. They sell discounted M&S all year round mostly last season stuff.
