We did sound for the moonwalk for the past 2 years. Didn't make me want to participate other than make sure the bands were heard :)

    they're great ia.

toto - i have discovered it's illegal to be above a size 14 in a shop and above a size 22 in a fabric pattern. Walked into one shop and the look of disgust and contempt was unbelievable.

was that for a dress or wedding dress ?
:) If you like what I say please say thanks :)

sjpsam that's for a wedding dress

When I went shopping for my wedding dress I was a 14/16 I went into one shop and the woman asked me if I had an appointment, I said I didn't know that i needed one, but could I make one then if it was a problem. She said it didn't matter as they were quiet anyway! This put me off straight away with her but thought I was there might aswell take a look.

Anyway I looked at a couple of dresses and asked about 1 and she said we only have size 10 in those and I can't order one in just for you to try it on!!! I wasn't asking to try it on I was asking how much it was!! I said well I am dieting and I am hoping to be a slim 14 for the wedding, she said " i suggest you go away then and come back when you have lost some weight" !!!!! I walked out!! I was so upset, it really put my off going into another shop to look for anything.

The next shop I went into I walked up to the sales counter and said, I am getting married in 12 months time, I want to be a size 14 for the wedding I am inbetween sizes at the moment, I don't expect you to order anything in for me to try on and do you have anything take I could look at today or am I wasting my time, and burst into tears! the sales assistant bless her gave me a tissue and said we have lots you can choose from and no your not wasting your time, she asked me by any chance had i visted X shop I said yeah, and she no wonder, I told erh what that one in the x shop had said and she said they had so many brides to be turn up there in tears after an encounter with them!!!! I bought my dress from there shop and at an absolute bargin too! they were brilliant from start to finsh .............

Try not to lose heart there are a few nice ones out there.....

and to add a sort of victory!!!! X shop has gone out of business and the snotty old bat that upset me, now works a grotty back street shop making sandwiches and having to smile to the customers!!!! There is a god! lol :rotfl:
