Reclaim bank charges

I have an overdraft of £3400 which is ridiculous for my earnings. I applied to reclaim bank charges about 2 years ago after seeing an article on here, initially Halifax said no and I forgot about it then they offered me £1400 to reduce my overdraft to £2000 and that they would change the balance immediately to reflect this. They put the £1400 into my account but never reduced my overdraft and over time I've got my overdraft back up to £3400 (which is my fault for spending that money but there's for not using the £1400 to change the balance)
Do I have any chance of reclaiming again due to the fact they didn't then adjust my overdraft balance like they said they would and I've fallen back into the £3400 debt?
I'm currently on a DMP paying back £230 a month on my overdraft.

    Hi,

That boat has sailed unfortunately, overdraught charges have been deemed by a court to not be challangeable for fairness.

However, banks will usually allow one complaint, per account, in relation to bank charges a year, although from what you've said, you are equally as responsible as the bank, so you would have to rely on there good nature in this instance.

No problem thanks Sourcrates, wasn't holding out much hope anyway they've already stopped charges for the first 6 months while I reduce it through my DMP and hopefully they will extend that until I've completed paymets to £3400.
