Hi All,
Re my posting Thursday reference my debt, I was advised to try CCCs debt Services.
I have just contacted the thru their website, filled in a quick online debt questionaire and have been told that because I am recently self employed, I need to ring one of their councillors for debt advice.
Why are things different because I am self employed,? is it because they cannot guarantee regular income each month.
I am slowly geeting to grips with my SOA but it is making me feel sick with worry, I cant see a way out of this mess I have got myself into and I have no one to blame but myself, but will post it soon for everyone to look at for me, but already by my calculations i am still around £250.00 short on budget per month.
I did speak to my OH about the situation but his attitude is try get more work in (i am self employed) he is already stretched with his own outgoings to help and when I try to address non essentials being cancelled (Sky) he says we dont go out and its all we have keeping us sane (!) wonder if he will agree with that sentiment when we are being repossed!!!
Any advice gratefully received regarding CCCs and self employment

Hiya jazzybabes
I think the CCCS online debt help service is just there for people with completely straightforward situations and although it *can* be perfectly straightforward to deal with debts if you're self employed, it's better to have the human touch helping you rather than just computer-generated advice - better to be safe than sorry.
I've had some dealings with CCCS in the past myself and the people I spoke to were lovely really helpful so give them a ring - you've got nothing to lose but your worry-lines!
You might wanna pop over to the DFW board for advice too...
