Spiritual Alcohol Issues

Options
Hello, not perhaps a money saving problem but...

We are getting married and we have to choose alcohol to be served at our bar/venue. We are not big drinkers.

We have to select a gin, a rum, a vodka and a whiskey and our choices below (they are all the same price from the suppliers that we have to use - and we negotiated an OK price). We hope most will use them as mixers (but we all have that one uncle/friend...;) )

We have chosen so much for this wedding that we really don't mind so long as its palatable for the guests - but don't want to pick an awful spirit if a better one is listed...

So we were wondering whether anyone with some knowledge, or even better experience, might please, please, please help us choose.

Our Options Are

Gin: Master´s selection OR bombay saphire

Rum (more choice here it seems):
  • Bacardi white / spiced
  • Flor de cana white / spiced (4 years old) / gold 5
  • Malibu Antillano
  • Appleton

Vodka: Absolut OR Skyy

Whisky (again more choice here):
  • Buchanan's 12
  • Jack Daniels
  • J&B
  • Red Label
  • Black Label
  • Ballantines

Thanks in advance & Cheers!

Could no disagree more! Those are mediocre they are ok if there is nothing else around choices.

    Anything's better than Bombay Saphire.
    Appleton.
Skyy. (or none codka is ick)
Black Label, JW I assume, US whisky is harsh because of there insane idea of only allowing it to mature in new barrels.

I think everyone will give a different reply here, it's very personal taste!
  • I like masters selection, never got on well with BS (Bombay Sapphire ;))

    Thanks!

This has caused barrels of controversy at work too.

I'm thinking J&B for the whiskey and absolute for the vodka.

    Out tasting tomorrow!
