I really like the Anker Soundcore 2.
It's my new beach speaker. I like it because it's waterproof and sandproof. I used to hide my speaker in a plastic bag, but now I'm not scared.
The range seems to be excellent. I can walk far away from the speaker and it continues to play. And it connects automatically to my iPhone without having to pair it each time.
There's a built in microphone that works with my iPhone.
It's small but powerful. As for kitchen use, I think it would be good - and you can take it out of the house too, unlike the Sonos. Of course, the Sonos is a lot more expensive, but I'm not sure the Sonos sound is significantly better than the little Anker. Good luck!0
