Did he enter a competition with this company? If the answer is no, then it probably is not a win. If they are asking him to pay any money out, then it is probably not a win. It is ringing alarm bells with me from what you have said.

Why would anyone ring up to say you are in the top 20 to win? Sounds dodgy to me.

I had a call today from these to say that I was in the last 50 to win!! The person that phoned was on about a driving experience with a view to being able to win a diamond. Sounds spammy to me
    Good Luck to everyone
  • Had a missed call today - googled the number and checked some of the 'who called me' sites and they indicated some sort of diamond investment company from the states trying to sell investments so ignored it.

    Sounds like the same mob.

i had the same, in the top 50, they said the next phase had some additional prizes including a diamond. and then a dodgy email with a presentation to view to explain how it works appeared. the email had no unsubscribe button , so popped it into spam. very spammy looking.

Thanks guys, got the email aswell. I shall tell him to ignore it
  • I had another call off them today 14/09, they want you to download a file onto your computer so they can show you an investment oppotunity about buying and selling diamonds.

Sounds like a dodgy Pyramid selling company.

They ran a competition that was posted on here that finished around the end of June it was to win a supercar three car driving experience, and I thought it odd for a company to ring and say you are in the top 50.

To be rung up again today and offered an investment opportunity is very dodgy and the words Pyramid selling came to mind
