I suppose it's just its my first ever loan I'm applying for. So I want as much positive information about me so I'm accepted.
Then apply and see what is offered.0 -

I am looking to get a loan for £6,500 to cover wedding expenses.
The future Mrs open next and new look accounts in my name last year which I have now shut down, my credit score took a big hit due to this.
So In May I got myself a Aqua card, which I pay off in full ever month to help build my score back up. I also pay off £30 towards my sofa in which I have done for the past year now.
Experian is telling me that I have 70% chance of being accepted for the loan I need from Natwest as I am a Natwest customer.
Does anyone know whether I will get accepted or not...?
As I see it......your future wife opened accounts in your name at two dress shops, she got into a bit of a mess and you had to sort it out. You didn't save up to buy a sofa, you had it on credit instead. How much more have you got to pay back?
You want to borrow £6,500 to get married. How much is your girlfriend putting towards it, are you both saving? Who came to that figure, you or the future Mrs? When is the wedding, can you save up and delay it for a year?
Basically it's not a good idea to start married life with a load of debt, better to have a cheap wedding and use any spare cash to furnish the house.
No one can answer your question as to whether you will be accepted for a loan or not. You can apply and see what happens.

Both of you need to cut all spending to the bare minimum, work every bit of overtime and/or get second jobs to increase income.
When you finally have saved £6500, ask yourselves if you really want to blow it all on a glorified party.0 -
Bit concerning that your future wife opened accounts in your name and this affected your credit history/store.Savings as of April 2023 Savings account - £26460.50(14474.88)Current account - £2140.24(4576.79)Total - £28600.74(19051.67) £1010 (£65pm CS/BS) £250 CS/BS/JS0
