BW legal

Hi guys. I need some advice. I got an email the other day from a company called BW legal saying they are looking for me and have been given my email address but of it's not me to ignore the email and it's relating to a personal matter. I've had payday loans in the past which I have refused to pay due to their late payment charges. So I presume it must be about a payday loan I haven't paid. I also checked my credit history I have seen BW legal did a credit check on me a year ago. So guess they been after me for some time. The last known address they would have for me I moved from years and years ago.
My question is this. Should I reply to their email? They've obviously been looking for me awhile now but reading on here it seems like they are CCJ happy and give them out like mars bars but they haven't done anything so far. I can't afford for some dummy to put a CCJ against me as it will harm my career so wondering what do you guys think I should do? Reply or ignore?
All help appreciated.

By ignoring them they could obtain a CCJ by default against you, as court papers only have to be sent to your last known address.
Have you not heard about the massive payday loan reclaiming action that's going on right now ?

Okay. What do I then do if BW legal say I owe £2k and have 7 days to.pay it and start making CCJ threats?0

Make a payment arrangement with them, they will not expect payment in full, ask them to write to you, give them your address, then send them the provit letter, if they prove the debt, set up an arrangement with them, at the same time, pursue an unaffordable lending complaint with the original creditor.
Or you could leave it alone, and hope they don't get legal with you, it's your choice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. How long ago did you have the payday loan? Or how long since you stopped paying it?
I'd be inclined to leave it alone unless they write with more information.0
