Slimming world target member question

Hello there - I recently became a target member of slimming world which is fantastic. I set my goal never thinking I would get to it, but now that I have, I realise that my ideal weight would be another 5lb lighter. Looking at the literature in order to reduce my goal I would have to decide to drop at least half a stone, which is a possibility but I wouldn't like to stay at that as think I would be scrawny.
I am currently 2lb lighter than my target weight and I think I only have to weigh in every 7 weeks. SO... if I get weighed this week could I then miss a few weigh ins (and hopefully drop that extra 5lb) and then is it as easy as just letting my consultant know that I want to change target and turn up to be weighed... or... do I have to start paying again in the meantime??
Hope that made sense.....

Firstly well done on reaching your target weight!
With regards your weight, I think you're given a 3lb either way allowance so technically could you lose 2lb then drop your target weight by 5lb so you'd be still within the 3lb allowance without having to pay?
My target weight isn't my ideal weight but a weight that I feel is maintainable - is your ideal weight maintainable?0 -
Thank you for the replies - getting there sometime - I think that my ideal weight would be maintainable, but the 2lb lower weight target that I would have to set is not. However, at least if I hit that, I would still have a 4lb buffer if that made sense. I need to have a think.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Did you find an answer to this?
I messenged SW directly and asked them something similar as whilst I have a target in mind (not yet official set) but thought of setting a target 1/2 stone higher but aren't sure yet.
The example I gave them was if I set my target at 11-10 but at 11-12 decided to go lower would I have to go to 11-3 or could I alter it to 11-5. The answer I got was 11-5 would be ok.
Hope this helps but if you need any clarification contact SW direct - they've been very helpful when I've contacted them.0 -
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I haven't investigated further yet - think I will give slimming world a ring to ask... my husband thinks i'm thin enough now - and don't get me wrong - my clothes fit well (hose I haven't thrown out). I'm just 4lb away from being the same weight I was at 21 though now (I'm 49) and it is very appealing to go for that target. I need to have a think, as there is more to life than a number on a scale.... but.....I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Hi Always Happy, I was (still am) a target weight member and decided to lose another 7lb so what I did was I got myself down to the bottom limit of my target weight, informed my group leader I was changing my target, bought a shop load of hi fi bars and then didn't go back to class for about 4 or 5 weeks when I was pretty certain I had lost the required weight. I weighed in and hit target straight away. This was last year but I think I paid for just the one weigh in although can't be absolutely certain as it could have been free.0
