NSD yesterday and today plus I took my lunch (and snacks!) to work as well.

I've just completed a survey on PA for £1, got all excited as it's the first one I've had in yonks :rotfl:

Registered for an Open University course today, need to print, sign and send the module registration document tomorrow along with the SAAS form for a part time fee grant. It's costing £958, and according to the online calculator SAAS will pay £910 so I just need to part with £48. All excited to start studying again and give my brain a bit of a workout!

Took lunch to work on Wed, but spent £3.24 in M & S picking up a few bits for dinner. Thu, I took the little one to sensory class and spent £3.30 in Tesco on the way there. Ended the week going to dinner with my sister and niece on Fri, split the bill in half spending a grand total of £12.17.

Cashed out £2.94 from Qmee and sent £1.47 to my annual expenses savings pots and £1.47 to my full and final settlement fund.

Managed to nab a £9 survey on PA the other night, just waiting for it to be approved and I'll request payment.

My mum’s taken the little one to keep overnight and me and my sister are going to a VIP showing of the new It film. Paid for it last month and we get a buffet beforehand and unlimited drinks and snacks to take in with us. Hopefully it’s worth the expensive price!

Oh and I finished reading an e-book from the library yesterday so that's me 2 down, 3 to go!

    Hi,

    Just found your diary.

    Good luck on your journey.

I used to use Goodreads all the time. You make me want to get back into reading. Do dfw diaries count? :rotfl:

    Anyway, I've subscribed x

Wouldn’t that be great, my reading figures would have shot through the roof if that was the case!

Well the film last night was a bit of a disappointment, turned out to be more of a comedy than a horror. The food we had beforehand was good though and as it was all pre-paid I managed a NSD.

Today I spent £29.29 in the supermarket though I forgot to pick up a few bits as usual so I’ll need to do a wee top-up shop at some point.

Me and mum took the little one to get his feet measured at a Clarks outlet and discovered he’d gone up a size and a half. Poor wee mite had been getting his feet squeezed into shoes that were far too small for him. Luckily we found a pair in his size and mum kindly purchased them for me. Should go shopping with her more often :).

Have been playing around with my savings spreadsheet and have decided to rename my float money savings pot to a childcare savings (or rather spending pot). I get paid monthly but my child benefit and tax credits arrive weekly and this means sometimes when my childcare fees are due I don’t have enough in my current account to cover it and I end up borrowing from savings then transfer it back later. So my aim is to transfer money to the childcare pot every week in order that I have £420 in there before my childcare bill is due. I have added £150 to the money that is already there and the next bill will be covering four weeks from week beginning 25th Sep.

Took lunch to work Mon, Tue, Wed and also racked up 2 NSDs. Tue I had to pop into Tesco for some groceries and spent £7.79.

Had a £26.50 payout from PA and a 50p one for Qmee so I sent £9 each to the childcare, annual expenses, and full and final settlement pots.

Am waiting for £40 cashback from Quidco, it keeps getting delayed so I don't think they're going to pay out .

Just remembered I finished the newest Lisa Jewell book today, reading is going well this month.

  • A NSD for me, little one is not well so we've been stuck in the house.

Cashed out £1.26 from Qmee and have paid that into my full and final settlement pot. Received a £10 Argos voucher from VO and requested a £5 Amazon voucher from Swagbucks.

Read about Receipt Hog on JoJoC's diary and I've joined that. Always up for something that will bring in the cash!

No further NSDs for me this week, spent £4.65 on groceries on Fri and £41.45 on them today. Yesterday I was naughty and spent £10 on a takeaway which will come out of my entertainment budget.

The £5 Amazon I requested from Swagbucks arrived on Fri and I’ve added that to my list so I can use it for gifts in 2018. Have also had a 75p payout from Qmee and put that towards my full and final settlement fund.

A few weeks ago I received a letter stating the remaining balance on my Natwest credit card had been bought by Cabot. Its balance sits at £3122 and this is the card I am targeting for my first full and final settlement. I’ve had a look around the boards and have discovered some people have negotiated a discount of up to 40% but I am going to take a cautious approach and save 75% of my current balance (25% discount) to settle this account (obviously I will start my negotiations from a much lower % and work my way up to the 75). This means I need to save £2325. I have decided to move the £1000 I have saved into my emergency fund to my full and final settlement pot. I have an account open for my little one which I pay £10 a month into. It currently has £845.07 in it and I am going to double it up to be my emergency fund. My thinking is that if I need to borrow money from it I can then simply replace it in time, as he is only 15 months he doesn’t need access to it at the moment. I am going on holiday next June and want this card paid off by then as it it will bring my debt close to the £15,000 mark.

I didn't wan't to read and run so just a quick post to say good luck, you seem very organised so far!

I hadn't heard of Qmee, but I've signed up now and love the fact there is no minimum cash out figure.

I also hadn't heard of good reads and I love a book too, so I'll be checking this out this week.

Thanks for popping by njk1012, mostly I just witter on to myself :rotfl:. Hope you find the websites useful and I'll add your diary on to my to be read list :).

Clocked up another NSD over here. Have had my child benefit and tax credits come through for this week but all my bills/spends for the month have been accounted for so I have divided up the cash and sent £103 to the childcare pot and £30 each to the annual expenses and full and final settlement pot.

  • Oh just realised I haven’t updated all week but I’m going to keep this entry short and sweet :)

Took lunch to work on Mon and Tue and on Wed I treated myself to a mozzarella, tomato and basil wrap with fries and a slice of cake. It cost £5 but I don’t feel bad as (a) I enjoyed it! and (b) it’s the first time I’ve bought lunch since going back to work 2 months ago.

Spends for the week have been as follows:
    • Mon – NSD
    • Tue – NSD
    • Wed – Groceries = £2.95/Entertainment = £5
    • Thu – NSD
    • Fri – Entertainment = £7.65
    • Sat – Entertainment = £2.50
    • Sun – Groceries = £42.80

Have added my spends up for the month so far, think I’ll come under budget so hope to transfer leftovers to my spending pots.

I’ve had a few very small payments from Qmee this week which have been added to my full and final settlement fund.

Need to go set my budget for October but I’m lacking motivation at the moment!
