Redemption Statement 2 months too early

My current mortgage deal ends at the end of September and the new one should start on the 1st of October yet, despite me telling that to the new lender's solicitors (conveyancers) over the phone a couple of times, today I received the Redemption Statement. I called them again and they said okay I'll pass it on to the right person bla bla but that's what they said the previous two times I mentioned it. But they sound totally unconcerned about it... I'm kind of getting worried here as I don't want this screwed up and have to pay the penalties.
Is that a normal thing? Isn't it kind of obvious that the first thing they need to know is when my current deal ends so they can make the necessary arrangements to make the transition on the correct date? Should I do something to make sure they don't just go ahead with it and then ask me to pay the early repayment charges and blame me for it or something?

Ordering a redemption statement doesn't mean they're immediately going to complete your remortgage. It's likely just to be standard procedure (to avoid further delays if you were going to complete soon, or so that you're not surprised by penalties or balances you weren't aware of). They'll get an updated statement closer to the time.0

Additionally they may have also asked for daily interest so they can calculate it themselves closer to the tine etc0

I hope you guys are right. I added a pic of it. That text is too confusing for me... Does it look alright? You'd think the person on the phone would mention it...
