Homemade christmas gifts (soap & bath bombs etc)

Options
Looking in to the idea of making some Christmas presents for family and friends. Soap and bath bombs seem easy enough to make looking at some instructions online.

Thought i would ask in here to see if anyone has any top tips? Suppliers? Any other ideas along similar lines?

Sorry about the Christmas thread in august. Im normally a 24th dec kind of guy.... honest.

Bath bombs are super easy to make. I used to make soaps etc years ago. EBay is a good place for cheap but decent bath bomb supplies! Also get a couple of molds.

Please please don't sell them though as there are so many rules and regs around it - great foe gifts thoigh :)

I'd go for bath bombs rather than soap unless you're really sure of the chemistry involved in soap, you can end up with a dangerous end product.

I'd only use tried and tested recipes. Also open to the melt and pour options although id guess thats the more expensive way?

You can buy ready made soap bases which you melt down and can add to - still potential to be dangerous if adding the wrong things but less so than starting from scratch.
