Making an appointment for JSA

Maybe a slightly silly question but a few days ago I signed on for JSA and was told I need to come back once a week to check my progress. It was only later that it occurred to me I hadn't been given a new appointment. Does anyone know, am I supposed to call the Job Centre and make an appointment or do they send me a message to tell me when I'm supposed to come in?

They should contact you via letter stating the appt date and time.

Has your claim actually started? You could call to check up on that, physically going in to check progress of your claim seems silly., I get the impression your JCP is incompetent. Hope im wrong though
