  • Is there a way a person can enter C2W's by auto entry?

I don't mean a third party entering masses of other people on their behalf. Just perhaps certain people using a programme to enter themselves across all the CTW's automatically once a day?

I'm pretty sure I've read something about that in compers chat corner before. I will have a search and see if I can find the post.

ETA found this thread. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5411240 and this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5408199

I thought about using scripts but I wondered if they might just disqualify your entries if they notice the time stamps on each entry is seconds apart.

Be interesting to know if anyone using scripts has had any luck winning anything on them.

I stopped doing them early 2015 before they became easy to auto enter and while there were far fewer sites - I won 3 or more in a month three times and once won twice in the same competition through different sites.

I stopped doing them last year as it got to be far too much and it just became harder & harder to keep up with all the new sites. Before that, I used to win about once a month. Had a couple of good wins from them too.
In regards to the OP's question. There used to be a time when I used to get a little disheartened when I saw the same names coming up. While I do realise that you have to be in it to win it, even now, it does feel sometimes like there is a certain few that do very, very well (especially on FB) and it does have a 'no one else gets a look in feel to it'. I tend to do more on Twitter because of that wonderful 140 character limit and there are less begging/sob stories pop up. It seems to be a fairer set up IYSWIM.
BUT, there was a time one Christmas (can't remember if it was 2014 or 2015) when someone went on FB complaining about all these people only entering comps because of the advents and because of those people, they weren't winning. Even though the person whining had done extremely well over the year.
I had to giggle at it, because while I admittedly had a case of 'sour grapes' it seemed that a certain few had it in their heads that only they were allowed to win, and no one else should. I realised there and then, that they took winning for granted, and it shouldn't be like that. It should always be a bit of fun, a hobby, if you will.
So, now I leave them to it and enter for prizes I want to win. If I come up trumps, then great, but if not, try again.
BTW, has anybody seen the comping fairy? She's fallen out with me again. Not won anything this month :(:rotfl:

I really think it's the luck of the draw. Some people seem to have a bit more luck on their side than others.

I've been comping for six years (about 200 comps a week, including FB and Twitter) - my total win so far is £200... I keep thinking about knocking it on the head, but you have to be in it to win it!

Hopefully it'll pay off soon with a nice win!

At one point I think I had three wins listed on the CTW list. But I entered every single one every single day. I've long since lost the motivation to do that!
