Friend has been offered a new job with cintract on satisfactoriy references, his previous job that he worked at over 3 years ago (he worked there over 10 years) put on dismissed he informed person that they disciplined him on 3 different things in one discplinary (sickness due to his type 1 diabetes, aht and performance - to which had no help in achieving these).
The job he had after that which was made redundant was with this company for 3 years from was on disciplinary but couldnt complete as redundancy was happening.
Would this effect his chance of been accepted?

Nobody can answer that for certain.
Different employers may place wildly differing degrees of importance on something like that. It will also depend on how easy or difficult it would be for them to find somebody else with similar skills but less "baggage".0 -
I guess it would depend on the reasons for the disciplinaries. If they were all to do with sickness absence due to his diabetes, and that is now under control, then it may have no effect. On the other hand, if they were all to do with performance they could be viewed differently.0
