I am moving to live with my brother and his wife in the oppisite end of the country and would like advice about how to go about advertising (locally) my home contents for sale furniture, bric a brac, quality clothing etc. Everything really. I plan to give a lot to charity shops but I need to generate some ready cash as I'm on a low income. Any advice would be a great help. I live in West Yorkshire.

'Garage' sale (even if you don't have a garage, as long as you've got some 'frontage'.

    Facebook local selling site.

    Gumtree?

Ebay if you're not THAT time limited.
Signature removed for peace of mind
  • Gumtree. Keep relisting every couple of days so you're always on the first page (it's free if you cut-and-paste into a new listing) and be willing to drop the price if it doesn't sell quickly.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
  • There maybe shops etc in your area that offer house clearings for cash. also if it gets tiredsome listing it all on likes here ,eBay etc. Print off some posters put in local shops - or your local paper - free ads.You also can try open house sale like a garage sale.
