PCP end of contract question
Options
My PCP deal recently ended just over a month ago and I handed back the car and went with a different company on hire purchase for my new one. The BCA people came and assessed it for £207 of damages which I agreed with, later that day they picked up and I've heard nothing since about paying the damages. I rang Toyota finance who it is with and asked about how I pay the damages but they said they'd contact me when I needed to pay. A month later still heard nothing and I've got the cash sitting in my bank and I don't know whether I can spend it or not. Does anyone have any experience of how long it usually takes before they bill you especially with Toyota? Or have they waived your charges or anything? I don't want to contact them again incase it prompts them to charge me when they otherwise might not..my car was nearly 10k under the agreed mileage if that has any relevance.

How to be broke for the rest of your life....
You'd have been far better off getting a loan and buying a car 2/3 years old where the bulk of its depreciation has been paid for by some other mug than signing up to be that mug again. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Don't spend the money. You have a good idea that there may be a bill coming. I would retain in a separate account and keep chasing.
If you do spend and get a bill which you can then not pay, you will find potential issues with your credit record being affected etc.0
