CC interest ?

Hi guys .. I'm just after a bit of advice please ..
So half way through the month I managed to just about clear another cc .. I had £250 on it but I had a dd payment that was due out for £300 so I thought I would just leave this then the extra would go towards interest owed.
So roll on today I have had my latest statement and there's no interest on for July ?
The balance is now £50 in credit .. Does this sound right .. I would have thought that there would have been interest owed.
I knew you guys are the ones to ask 😉
Just I'm trying to figure weather to keep some cash for any extra owed for this interest or to pay it off the next card ..
Hope this makes sense

Thanks .. guess I was a bit shocked as I thought I would have had interest added .. but hey ho that's more to pay off other card :T now I'm £50 in credit on this one though not sure what I should do ?
Do you think I should just get shopping on it and use grocery mo years for overpayment ... just I have hidden the card out the way and not sure where it is (hid it ages ago as I don't use it lol)

I owe a massive thanks to everyone here ... me and my boys as as soon as I'm debt free it's saving for uni for them
