Job Seeker after 18month break

I'm looking to return to work in the UK after an 18month break in Canada.
Originally I was looking for professional work in Canada but switched to temporary jobs (4 jobs over the period) as my wife took a well paid part time role that gave us the opportunity to travel and explore.
Returning to the UK later this the autumn I'm currently struggling to phrase my cover letters (and resume) for this period abroad (prior to this I had 9years in professional and then junior management positions).
Any thoughts appreciated.

Just write you took a career break to go travelling with your wife. Wouldn't even mention the temp jobs.0
