What happens if parcel not collected?

If I send a parcel privately, via the post office, and the reciever doesn't collect it from the delivery office (if they miss the delivery), then what happens? I would assume it is returned to me, but how will they know where to return it to if I didn't put a return address on the parcel?

If you send a parcel via the Post Office, they should check with you at the counter that there is a return address on it before they accept it.

Mine's been doing this for a while now, they said it is a requirement.

I'll make it nice and easy for them..... anything of value that needs to be returned send it to me courtesy of my EBay account.

Royal Mail has been in the business for over 500 years I think they know how to deal with things.
