Do I have a valid claim from Liverpool Victoria?

Read the article on reclaiming PPI and just want to make sure that I'm not being dim.
Would that include interest on the PPI amount?
A quick confirmation would be great please
Thanks

- I have a personal loan from Liverpool Victoria (fixed 17k for 6 years@7.0%) started Oct 2004.
- I have a single premium policy for PPI, which totals £4k
- I have changed the Direct Debt date for payment once.
- Nothing else about the loan has changed.
Would that include interest on the PPI amount?

No and no IMO unless you have a case for misselling which you do not mention in your post.
Why should they refund it all when you have been covered for the best part of 3 years.0 -
Hmm, I guess I was being dim then, though it was quite a while ago so I can't really recall if it was mis-sold (i.e. you can't get the loan without having PPI) to me or not

I'll just cancel the PPI then, thanks for clearing that up for me.0 -
Just to say to Angry Barry that I had similar situation and have just got over £1000 back as when I looked at the terms and conditions one of them said that to cancel you had to do it within 30 days of the loan start. They took this clause out in March 2007 and have now agreed to cancel my PPI and refund premiums back to March 07. Not a bad outcome for two letters (they said no at first before I quoted the term I had issue with. Lucky I kept the paper copy as they said terms were available on the internet at the time I got the loan) Let me know if you need more info0

Yes, the chances are that you would have a successful claim for ppi. However, with the age of the loan there is a chance that you could challenge the loan itself depending on the agreement.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0
