Gifted deposit - I thought it was from my parents but actually from Grandparents

As title says. I received a gifted deposit of 6750 from what I thought was from my mum but the money has actually come from grandparents unknown till 30mins ago. My grandparents sent it to my mum and she has sent it to me. Instead do I need to be getting my g-parents signing a letter for gifted deposit?

Yes, and bear in mind that (as well as your mortgage lender needing to approve who is gifting the money) your solicitor will probably need to see a paper trail for the bank transfers and ID for both your mum and grandparents.0
