Anaïs Demoustier (The New Girlfriend) stars in this elegant, funny and gloriously emotional French comedy of manners.
A fraught menage à trois between lawyer Melodie (Anaïs Demoustier), her best friend Charlotte (Sophie Verbeeck) and Charlotte’s boyfriend Micha (Felix Moati) plays out against a backdrop of chic urban living, with a tongue-in-cheek sense of irony that hints at a more satirical edge, in this elegant, funny and gloriously emotional French comedy of manners. Light, charming and supremely sexy, Bonnell’s film is a joy.

Sisters
OFFICIAL SITE
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunite for Sisters, a new film from Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore about two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. Looking to recapture their glory days, they throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch of ground-down adults really need. Fey produces the comedy alongside Jay Roach (Meet the Parents series) and John Lyons (Austin Powers in Goldmember), and Poehler executive produces alongside Jeff Richmond and Brian Bell from a script by Paula Pell (TV’s Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock).

The acclaimed launch film at Sheffield Doc Fest 2015, this vivid and hypnotic documentary brings together an extraordinary wealth of archive footage from circuses, freak shows, and variety and vaudeville performances in the 19th and 20th centuries. The footage is combined with a tremendously evocative new soundtrack from Sigur Ros. It is a rich and haunting journey into a fading and forgotten world of local entertainment. The Show Of Shows lives on in the mind long after the final frames have played out.

In 1820, crewmen (Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy) aboard the New England vessel The Essex face a harrowing battle for survival when a whale of mammoth size and strength attacks with force, crippling their ship and leaving them adrift in the ocean. Pushed to their limits and facing storms, starvation, panic and despair, the survivors must resort to the unthinkable to stay alive. Their incredible true story ultimately inspires author Herman Melville to write Moby-D!CK.

Careworn teacher Daniel (Cerqueira) is summoned by his elderly mother (Jones) to his parents’ ramshackle cottage, where his father (Johnson) is refusing to move from the sofa.
Director/co-writer Tom Browne’s film is a pithy, darkly amusing account of the unravelling of a marriage held together only by fear and familiarity, with especially terrific performances by British character actors Jones and Johnson. A delight.
