Heartbroken when he rejects her for the fame and fortune of a big solo contract, Gretta finds herself alone and far from home. Just when she’s decided to move back to London, life begins to look up when a down-on-his-luck record producer Dan (Ruffalo) stumbles upon her singing during an open mic night. Captivated by her raw talent and inspiring authenticity Dan persuades Gretta to take a fresh approach to making music and together they transform the streets of New York in to their recording studio, giving the city and their careers one final shot. A couple are driving home to their kids when their car runs out of gas just as the Purge commences. Meanwhile, Leo goes out into the streets to get revenge on the man who killed his son, and a mother and daughter run from their home after assailants destroy it. The five people meet up as they attempt to survive the night in Los Angeles.

Returning alongside writer/director/producer James DeMonaco to produce the next chapter of the thriller are Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity and Insidious series), alongside S!bastien K. Lemercier (Assault on Precinct 13, Four Lovers) and Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay (Pain & Gain, Transformers franchise), Brad Fuller (The Amityville Horror, A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Andrew Form (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th).

The film is 1 hour 40mins and it will be followed by a Q&A with Jason Blum at 8.15pm

We are delighted to announce that we will be joined by Bobs Gannaway (director) and Ferrell Barron (producer) for a Q&A following the screening. The film preview starts at 1pm Disney Toons follow up their Cars spin-off with this exciting CGI animated title for all the family. Dusty Crophopper, now a prize-winning racer plane, suffers from an engine problem and must face up to the fact that his racing days might be numbered. With a change of career in mind, he joins veteran Fire and Rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his team of courageous heroes. The gang then risk their lives in a race to prevent a huge wildfire doing unthinkable damage.

Nobody throws a party quite like Glasgow, and they are set to build on that reputation further as they kick off the games in style on Wednesday 23rd July. The event will take place on Glasgow Green, and help support thousands of children in need in association with UNICEF.

This once-in-a-lifetime occasion will merge together a blistering array of fireworks and the finest Scottish musical talent, performing live on stage.

Performers include Belle and Sebastian, Lulu, Eddi Reader, Rab Noakes, Emma Pollock, James Grant, Sarah Hayes, RM Hubbert and Roddy Hart and the Lonesome Fire, who are all honoured to be representing their country’s invitation to the world to join the party.

Her Majesty the Queen will also be in attendance, reading out the message contained within the baton that has travelled across the Commonwealth, thus marking the official start to the games.

4,500 sports men and women from 71 nations will compete in the event, and up to 1 billion people will be watching worldwide.

Those that cannot make it to Glasgow Green can enjoy the proceedings from the comfort of their local Vue Cinema, as we screen both Opening and Closing Ceremonies, exclusively in Scotland..
