We have a few complimentary tickets for The Case of the Bloody Iris at the Dancehouse in Central Manchester on Tuesday 11th March at 8pm.

    About the Show:

Finders Keepers Records, this time in conjunction with Blazing Magnums Screenings and Lovelock & Load bring another great night of film and music to the Dancehouse Theatre. DJ's Andy Votel, Doug Shipton and Sean Canty will provide suitable ambience in the Theatre Bar before and after the Auditorium screens Giuliano Carnimeo's 1972 mystery thriller The Case of the Bloody Iris.

The Case of the Bloody Iris:
When two women are viciously slain in a luxury high-rise, a beautiful young model (Edwige Fenech of 5 DOLLS FOR AN AUGUST MOON) moves into one of their vacated apartments - and soon finds that she is now being stalked by the mysterious killer!
The suspects include her ex-husband, a member of a group sex cult, a predatory lesbian neighbour, the deformed son of a sinister widow, and even the building's handsome architect (George Hilton of MASSACRE TIME) who suffers from a paralysing fear of blood. Can she expose the masked maniac with a taste for luscious women and depraved murder before she becomes the next victim?

A Celebration of William Lloyd Webber, Featuring Renowned Cellist Julian Lloyd Webber
    St Martin-in-the-Fields, 7.30pm-9.30pm (with interval)

“Skilfully and sumptuously scored…music as sensuous as any you will find from a British composer” Edward Greenfield, The Guardian

This special concert marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of composer William Lloyd Webber. The possessor of a remarkable melodic gift which he frequently allied with surprisingly ‘purple’ harmonies, he was a composer who knew exactly what he wanted to say and how to say it.

William Lloyd Webber wrote accessible and beautiful music in many different forms: vocal and instrumental, choral and organ, chamber and orchestral. This concert, with St Martin’s Voices directed by Andrew Earis, celebrates the breadth of his output, and features a special performance by his son, the world-renowned cellist Julian Lloyd Webber.

A limited number of tickets are available to ShowFilmFirst members, these are located in price band D seating and may have some slightly restricted views, but most importantly fantastic acoustics. Grab your voucher quickly to avoid disappointment!

“Labor Day” centers on 13-year-old Henry Wheeler, who struggles to be the man of his house and care for his reclusive mother Adele (Kate Winslet) while confronting all the pangs of adolescence. On a back-to-school shopping trip, Henry and his mother encounter Frank Chambers, a man both intimidating and clearly in need of help, who convinces them to take him into their home and later is revealed to be an escaped convict.
