Dallas Buyers Club is the inspirational true story of Ron Woodruff (Matthew McConaughey), a hard-partying rodeo cowboy diagnosed as HIV Positive in 1985 and given 30 days to live. A hustler and a fighter who won’t accept a death sentence, Woodruff refuses to accept the lack of treatment available and begins importing unapproved drugs, setting up the “Dallas Buyers Club” to provide unapproved medication to p*ying members. Together with an unlikely partner – transsexual Rayon (Jared Leto), who shares his entrepreneurial spirit - Ron becomes a formidable foe to the US Government, fighting the system in the courts and outside, paving the way for change and becoming a hero to all those afflicted by the illness.
