Free outdoor cinema screenings of Disney Classics for the next 3 Saturdays at Spinningfields Manchester.
Tangled, Cinderella & Princess and the Frog

Very special Disney guest to appear at launch
Spinningfields Family Film Club is back this year, bigger and better than ever before, in association with Disney On Ice presents Dare To Dream.
Launching on Saturday, August 17th with Disney favourite Tangled, families will be treated to a very special Disney guest both before and after the screening, which starts at 11am.
A whole host of fun-filled activities are also set to take place on the day, starting at 10.15am, including face painters, hair braiders and balloon modellers. A number of competitions will take place on stage prior to the screening, with families in with a chance to win numerous prizes, including Disney On Ice presents Dare To Dream tickets when the show comes to Manchester Arena in October, and show merchandise.
The first of three Disney films to be shown, Tangled was a box office sensation when released in 2010. The magically long-haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is.
All three screenings are free and unticketed. Following on from Tangled, Cinderella will be shown on Saturday 24th August, with the The Princess and the Frog on Saturday 31st August.
Families can watch the films on a picnic blanket or kick-back on some deckchairs and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
The screen is located in the heart of Manchester city centre on The Lawns, Spinningfields.

From New Line Cinema comes the action comedy “We’re The Millers,” starring Jennifer Aniston (“Horrible Bosses”) and Jason Sudeikis (“The Campaign”). The film is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (“Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story”).
David Burke (Sudeikis) is a small-time pot dealer whose clientele includes chefs and soccer moms, but no kids—after all, he has his scruples. So what could go wrong? Plenty. Preferring to keep a low profile for obvious reasons, he learns the hard way that no good deed goes unpunished when he tries to help out some local teens and winds up getting jumped by a trio of gutter punks. Stealing his stash and his cash, they leave him in major debt to his supplier, Brad (Ed Helms).
In order to wipe the slate clean—and maintain a clean bill of health—David must now become a big-time drug smuggler by bringing Brad’s latest shipment in from Mexico. Twisting the arms of his neighbors, cynical stripper Rose (Aniston) and wannabe customer Kenny (Will Poulter), and the tatted-and-pierced streetwise teen Casey (Emma Roberts), he devises a foolproof plan. One fake wife, two pretend kids and a huge, shiny RV later, the “Millers” are headed south of the border for a Fourth of July weekend that is sure to end with a bang. There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

You're Next
‘You’re Next’ – a chilling warning scrawled in blood on a neighbour’s wall, starts an evening of bloody mayhem for the Davison family. A lively reunion is abruptly brought to an end when a gang of mysterious killers, disguised in animal masks, wage an all-out assault on the Davison’s secluded home. Using a series of sophisticated traps, axes, crossbows and machetes, the family are slaughtered one by one until nowhere is safe. But neither the attackers, nor their victims, have counted on Erin (Sharni Vinson); an innocent girlfriend who has the killer instinct to fight back…

About Time
Screenings at 6.30 on Thursday 15th August at participating Cineworld cinemas
"At the age of 21, Tim is told an incredible family secret by his father: all the men in his family have the ability to relive their past. He can revisit any moment in his life to try things differently until he gets them perfectly right. He decides to use his special new gift to win the heart of the beautiful Mary, but finds that the course of true love can be hilariously difficult – even with the ability to try, try and try again. And even when everything seems to be going well, an unfortunate twist in time means that he never met Mary at all… While his unique gift might just help him find true love, Tim discovers that it can’t save him from the ups and downs that life brings to everyone. In the end, he finds that making the most of love and life will mean giving up the past and living for the moment.
Richard Curtis is the writer of TV shows such as Not the Nine O’Clock News, Blackadder, Mr Bean and The Vicar of Dibley. His movies include Four Weddings and a Funeral; Notting Hill; Bridget Jones’s Diary; and Love Actually and The Boat That Rocked, which he also directed. Most recently, he co-wrote the screenplay for War Horse"
