War Horse
DreamWorks Pictures' "War Horse," director Steven Spielberg's epic adventure, is a tale of loyalty, hope and tenacity set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War. "War Horse" begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets—British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter—before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man's Land.
The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse—an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure. "War Horse" is one of the great stories of friendship and war— a successful book, it was turned into a hugely successful international theatrical hit that is currently on Broadway. It now comes to screen in an epic adaptation by one of the great directors in film history.

The Iron Lady
Today 15th December
Manchester Town Hall.
Door open at 6:30 p.m.
Arrive via the private entrance on Cooper St.
http://www.seefilmdifferently.com/article/sfdd8a46ab9
The Iron Lady charts the remarkable rise of Margaret Thatcher, the Tory MP who battled her way through social and political barriers to become the UK's first and only female Prime Minister. Dubbed the "Iron Lady" for her stern approach and hard rhetoric, the film moves beyond the themes of power and ambition to reveal an impressively intimate account of a complex, extraordinary woman.
On 15th December we'll be hosting an exclusive pre-release screening at a particularly special venue. Used as one of the film's main locations, it's also an exquisite Grade I listed building. Though you’ll recognise this as the Houses of Parliament, here comes one of the industry's best kept-secrets. The real Houses of Parliament are never used as an authentic filming location, but rather have their very own "body double":Manchester Town Hall.
Entering via the main staircase used in the film, guests will have the opportunity to experience this grand space to see where various scenes were shot. Good food, drinks, comfy seating and an excellent screen go without saying. There will also be a private exhibition of film stills. For further updates about this event (and perhaps a few surprises), be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page.
Ticket applications for this event are now closed. We will however, be giving away a limited number of tickets on the door. These will be on a first come, first served basis, so if you’d like to come along on the night, be sure to arrive early. Door open at 6:30 p.m. and guests are asked to arrive via the private entrance on Cooper St.
Entry is subject to venue capacity and management reserve the right to refuse entry.0 -
