'(500) Days of Summer'



Subverting the conventions of the Hollywood rom-com, '(500) Days of Summer' is an unpredictable, inventive relationship comedy that refuses to play by the rules. Tom Hansen (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, ‘Mysterious Skin’) is a miserable middle-class wage slave wasting his days in a greetings-card company. But his life takes a turn for the better when he meets sparky Summer Finn (Zooey Deschanel, ‘Elf’). There's an instant attraction between them - or so Tom thinks. The film then tracks their bittersweet 500-day romance from first date to break-up - though not necessarily in that order.
