Just had this through via email ...
This Sunday, The Times are screening a free preview of new animated movie, Coraline, in 3-D.
Based on the best-selling children’s classic by Neil Gaiman, Coraline is a fairy-tail nightmare steeped in classic storytelling, craftmanship and the old fashioned art of moviemaking magic. In Coraline, a young girl walks through a secret door in her new home and discovers an alternate version of her life - a better version. But when this wondrously, fantastical adventure turns dangerous and her ’other’ parents try to keep her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to get back home.
Coraline (Cert PG) is in cinemas from May 8th, but you can see it before the crowds, at one of our free preview screenings across the UK this Sunday,</B> April 26th.
For more information on the film, and to claim up to 4 tickets, follow the link below and pick up a copy of The Times this Saturday.
https://www.offersinthetimes.com/cultureplus_ticket_booking/indexopen.php
Once you have booked tickets you will need to bring a copy of the advert in this Saturday’s Times to the cinema along with your e-ticket.

sorry for chat, but regarding the coraline movie and people saying the link does not work, it is because the website needs to be able to use a cookie to track you and many pop up blockers or firefox browser seem to block this so it will keep redirecting you to the main page.
I found it worked by using internet explorer with no pop up blocker or firewall and going to https://www.offersinthetimes.com/cultureplus_ticket_booking/indexopen.php it will then re-direct you, then click the link for previews of "is anybody there" and then you will get to the booking page now and will be able to select coraline as a movie and use movie password 8544.
Hope this helps :-)People who live beyond their means should act their wage.0 -
Never posted here but i figure this is just as good as any other.
University of Liverpool honorary graduate and Oscar-nominee Pete Postlethwaite is the star of an upcoming film The Age of Stupid.
"Pete stars as a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, looking back at old footage from 2008 and asking why we didn’t stop climate change when we had the chance."Screening: Age of Stupid
Age of Stupid - an exciting and thought provoking film currently on general release - will be screened as a private showing in the Mountford Hall, Guild of Students on Thursday 7 May starting at 17.30. After the film there will be a question and answer session involving the audience and an invited panel to discuss the climate issues that the film raises. The panel mambers include:
Peter Harper, Centre for Alternative Technology - a proper green 'guru', editor of the 1960s seminal journal 'Undercurrents'
Aubrey Meyer, Director of the Global Commons Institute - originator of the 'Contraction and Convergence' model to replace the Kyoto Protocol
Richard Hawkins - climate activist and main author of the recent report Climate Safety
Alex Randall - climate activist and star of Cheat Neutral
Ric Williams, Chair in Ocean Dynamics and Biogeochemistry
Entry is FREE but to reserve a place please go to: http://www.liv.ac.uk/ageofstupid/
Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to take part in the debate emerging around this film.

The problem here is the questions are linked to what else has been posted! It would be awkward for people to post an out of the blue question on the other thread explaining it relates to something on this thread, dont u think??
Can't you people that forever post ......
NO CHAT HERE get over yourselves and give others a break?! If its not of interest to you IGNORE it!!! Cant you keep this thread open on the bottom of your task bar and it u receive alerts just refresh the page? Is that SUCH a problem??????
I also suspect you people go to the films and moan when people talk as well do you??
AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHY YOU DON'T CHAT, ASK QUESTIONS or OFFER YOUR OWN TICKETS ON THIS THREAD.
1. There is another cinema thread where chatting and asking questions is the whole point of that thread.
2. The other thread exists so that CODES DO NOT GET LOST ! You know - "Can't see the wood for the trees" syndrome !
Originally there was only 1 thread. Codes were posted amongst all sorts of chit-chat.
Sometimes just 1 code post in 50 or 100 others. Then someone would post how good a certain free film screening had been and frequently others would reply that they didn't even know it was on offer.
How had they missed it?
Because they had not accessed the thread for a day or so and only went, perhaps mistakenly, back 5 pages from the current last post and not 6 or 7 or 10, trawling all the way back through mostly "garbage" to the actual point in the thread where they had previously viewed it!
3. The other thread exists so that IDENTICAL CODES DO NOT GET REPEATED ! (again & again & again ... / as often)
This still happens even with a dedicated thread which is much shorter and less congested.
Often through ignorance or more frequently just because people can't be bothered to check.
Occasionally because they failed to see the previous code posting having actually attempted to check for a "new" code's originality.
And that's when it's only 1, 2 or 3 pages long, perhaps only 15 posts, or maybe 30 or 50 ish.
Just think when it's 50 or 100 pages - 1000 or 2000 posts ?
4. THIS THREAD is moderated and edited, expired codes & offers are deleted to keep it "clean & tidy".
This is to ensure that there is the best possibility that 2. and 3. can take place.
Unnecessary posts make this harder to achieve, makes more work & endless time consuming attempts by the Mods to keep control of it.
5. SUBSCRIPTION with EMAIL NOTIFICATION
Many MSE members choose to be SUBSCRIBED to this thread - allows it to be easily and quickly located wherever you are on MSE
Codes can appear at any time and they get posted randomly. When they do the ticket allocation can "vanish in an instant".
Obviously the sooner you become aware of a NEW CODE and check if it is applicable (time&date, cinema, film) the BETTER !
Many of those SUBSCRIBED members choose to have the EMAIL NOTIFICATION option enabled as well.
What this means is that THEY RECEIVE AN EMAIL EVERYTIME A POST IS MADE ON THIS THREAD. (Even this one - SORRY!)
On receipt of an email they READ THIS THREAD ASAP to get the code and associated details
When they find IT IS NOT A NEW CODE they get VERY PEEVED (!!!!!! OFF) Especially after 10 times in the same day !!!
WORSE STILL. Some subscribers have it set up so that getting AN EMAIL SENDS A TEXT MESSAGE TO THEIR MOBILE.
Some PAY FOR THIS SERVICE - Perhaps 10p per message, after 10 pointless worthless emails - £1 WASTED - they're ANGRY !
6. SWAPPING TICKETS IS NOT PERMITTED under MSE rules. SEE POST #2. If you need to - DO IT ELSEWHERE.
Specifically regarding SEEFILMFIRST tickets - they have their own policy and procedure for RETURNING and REISSUING - USE IT !
7. IF you haven't read POSTS #1 & #2 in this thread, THEN DO SO ! - UNDERSTAND & FOLLOW the RULES in Post #2
Just about everything you need to know about FREE CINEMA TICKETS are in these two posts.
8. AND it won't do you any harm to read post #3 either !There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93
