Thanks to Universal Pictures we're giving Classic FM listeners the chance to get FREE tickets to special screenings of the brand new movie Frost/Nixon.

    Synopsis
For three years after being forced from office, Nixon remained silent. But in summer 1977, the steely, cunning former commander-in-chief agreed to sit for one all-inclusive interview to confront the questions of his time in office and the Watergate scandal that ended his presidency. Nixon surprised everyone in selecting Frost as his televised confessor, intending to easily outfox the breezy British showman and secure a place in the hearts and minds of Americans.
Likewise, Frost’s team harboured doubts about their boss’ ability to hold his own. But as cameras rolled, a charged battle of wits resulted. Would Nixon evade questions of his role in one of the nation’s greatest disgraces? Or would Frost confound critics and bravely demand accountability from the man who’d built a career out of stonewalling? Over the course of their encounter, each man would reveal his own insecurities, ego and reserves of dignity... ultimately setting aside posturing in a stunning display of unvarnished truth.
Frost/Nixon not only re-creates the on-air interview, but the weeks of around-the-world, behind-the-scenes maneuvering between the two men and their camps as negotiations were struck, deals were made and secrets revealed…all leading to the moment when they would sit facing one another in the court of public opinion.

Apologies to anyone that's been "notified" if this is of zero use.

I've posted this summary for a few reasons.

In the recent excess of spurious and superfluous posts, some films and/or codes may have been missed by some members looking for a free night out.

It may stop duplicate postings of the exact same code being repeated, of which there have been many (as I post the last entry is a TRIPLICATE !), and prevent future unnecessary notifications.

It may just encourage anyone who knows of a code that isn't in this list to post it, perhaps assuming it's already here..

Also for those that have already tried these codes and have been unsuccessful, TRY THEM AGAIN, you may just be lucky.
    *See NOTE*

That was not a discussion, that was an update about a code, which has saved me a few minutes so I know not to click through using that paticular code.
    .............

they are really doing you an injustice if you then follow the advice and ignore the code.

    Similarly a post like
Code 123456 for "Mutant Alien Lesbian Octopus from Chelmsford" on Feb 31st 2009 is working again

    is also pointless.

I've been using MSE for free cinema tickets for over four and a half years and have experienced all aspects and methods tried, individual threads for each and every film (or each and every code), a single thread for everything, and the current 2 thread system.

Here are 3 posts I've made in the past on this subject.
But nobody needs reminding if they've read and understood posts #1 & #2

    As posted
"When a seefilmfirst showing runs out of tickets, they often add more later so it's worth keeping trying."

and as I say "This means later the same day, the following day, the following week/month and all times in between !"

Is there any point me making a post a week after a code has been listed on the thread to say that I've just tried it and got 2 tickets.
Unless you ALSO want tickets for Derby then it's meaningless if you live in Sheffield, London, Glasgow etc. etc etc.
I DON'T KNOW that any place OTHER THAN Derby "works" and has any tickets left. Indeed I don't even know that about Derby for the next person, I may just have taken the last 2.
Then again 2 hours/2 days/2weeks later, after my success, there may be some more tickets available at every other cinema EXCEPT Derby.

That makes "a code is working again" reminder all but pointless.
If I try a code (AND it includes a local cinema) BUT they have "all gone", I jot the SFF code on a Post-It note (usually with film name and screening date) and stick it to the edge of my screen.
This reminds me to try, try and try again until I either get a ticket or the screening has come and gone.
I've got tickets on the afternoon of a screening - just 3 or 4 hours before I've been sitting in my cinema seat and the lights are being dimmed.

Sometimes my Post-It note has 6 or 7 codes for 3 or 4 different films as new codes/previews are added.
Seems the best way to jog your memory that you're still in with a chance if only you check AGAIN and it actually reminds you to do so every time you sit in front of your PC.
Works EXCEPTIONALLY WELL for ME, whereas I have NEVER been successful if I've responded to someone elses "the code nnnnnn is working again". Just because they got a ticket, NO IT ISN'T !!!
I've personally, one more than one occasion, got tickets for my cinema just 2 or 3 minutes after there's been a post saying that they had all gone for my cinema.
Similarly I've followed the "code now working" within seconds of it being posted and it's totally untrue.
It might have been "working" for the person that made the "working" post but if they got the LAST TWO tickets for a cinema, then their action of requesting the last 2 tickets STOPPED it working.
I can't remember a single instance where a "code working" has EVER helped me.
    Pointless! Meaningless!

ANY SFF Code can STOP working at ANY TIME.
Similary it can START working again at ANY TIME.

It might be just 2 tickets that someone has returned (icantgo@sff) for re-issue.
Then again it could be another batch of 10 or 20 on ANY previously released code.

All I know is that A CODE IS NEVER FULL UNTIL THE SCREENING HAS TAKEN PLACE !!!

If I'm not successful when a code is first released, then I try it at random times over the next days/weeks. As new codes are added I try them all randomly. I can't remember EVER NOT getting at least 1 code to cough up 2 tickets at some point.
I'd guess that I've obtained tickets on half-a-dozen occasions late on the afternoon of the day of the movie.
Tried the code at 3pm, 4pm, 5pm - been sitting in the cinema at 6:15pm

At the time of these postings this appeared to "breaking news" to some members, many of them unaware of this, and having read my post they tried codes again and had immediate success.

Apologies again if this has been unhelpful.
Sorry for the length of the post but I think it had to be said and I think it had to be said here.
Thank you to all those that have read this far and are still with me.
