Euro's To Pounds

Hello folksNeed some help here, my partner is paid euro's by her ex for her daughter, As we're living in the UK, we need a cheep or free way, of transfering this to our account, German banks charge so it costs us to keep it there, as the amounts are not enough income to get free banking, And of course British banks cost as well, any idea's will be welcome, Please..........oh and sorry if this has already been covered, we're newcomers.
