Not being held responsible for mortgage

I don't think that's right, the company who I went bankrupt with that have their names against the properties during the 3 years are liable for covering insurance and none of the properties are due council tax, it is only when they have no interest in any properties that they cancel their insurances,
I had hoped they would all be repossessed by now as I don't want it hanging over my head again when my 3 years IPA is over, I guess I'll have to contact the company and see what's what, it just came to my mind because I got a mortgage statement in the other day0 -
I am sorry your situation seems different, I did not go through a company so I have no understanding of that.
I think you would be best calling them, I wish you well its awful having something hanging around when you just want to move on.0 -
I'm curious as to the logic of still insuring a property that is in negative equity that you are waiting on the mortgage lender to repossess. What insurable interest do you have?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I'm not insuring the property but I believe the company I went through must insure the property as they hold the beneficial interest in it until the lender sells it, I think it's their responsibility incase someone destroys it etc0
