Self employed - PPI

Hello all!

I have tried to reclaim mis-sold PPI from Capital One and have recieved a reply from them.

They say: " You've suggested in your letter that the PPI was mis-sold as you're self employed. You would still be able to claim under the terms relating to employment benefit providing you are paying Class 2 National Insurance Contributions. You could also claim under one of the other sections of the policy. These cover life, critical illness and disability benefits. "

They also say I requested the PPI when I applied for the card on the net. I would not have done this - although obviously I cannot prove it.

Any help or tips so that I can fight back..?!

Thanks in advance for any help

  • A lot of lenders do cover self-employed

as you applied youself, rather than with an adviser, i don't think you can say mis-sold, as there was no seller
