Grease stain on linen

I have a purple linen shirt and have managed, stupidly, to get a splotch of olive oil on it from cooking.

Please could anyone suggest a method of stain removal that won't take the colour out of the shirt?

It is not a new shirt as I tend to keep my clothes until they look too shabby for wearing out of the house but it hasn't (or hadn't ) quite reached the point of relegation to housework shirt.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Stardrops or washing up liquid. Massage a splodge into the stain. Leave overnight and then wash as usual. it might take a couple of goes but it should come out- I love linen and I'm a messy cook/eater and so far this has always worked.

Thank you, I will try that. I've been worried about taking the colour out.

Neither of these should fade it so fingers crossed

Caronc, just coming back to this to say thank you, it worked and did not leave a faded mark. That was what I was worried about, the fading rather than the removal of the mark. Thanks again!
