Grease stain on linen

I have a purple linen shirt and have managed, stupidly, to get a splotch of olive oil on it from cooking.
Please could anyone suggest a method of stain removal that won't take the colour out of the shirt?
It is not a new shirt as I tend to keep my clothes until they look too shabby for wearing out of the house but it hasn't (or hadn't ) quite reached the point of relegation to housework shirt.

Stardrops or washing up liquid. Massage a splodge into the stain. Leave overnight and then wash as usual. it might take a couple of goes but it should come out- I love linen and I'm a messy cook/eater and so far this has always worked.0

Caronc, just coming back to this to say thank you, it worked and did not leave a faded mark. That was what I was worried about, the fading rather than the removal of the mark. Thanks again!I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0
