Are you aware that Tesco have a Clubcard Plus. They do not advertise the product and it is a simple way of obtaining extra free clubcard points. I haven't got mine yet, but I understand that you put some money onto the card and get points. You then use this card like a debit card in the shop and get clubcard points again.
If you want one then ring 0800 406050
They will ask you how you know about it because it isn't advertised anywhere.

So, how do you know about it then ? Is this the same as just a Tesco Current Account, and how many extra points can you get ?0

I've got one of these and as far as I know you don't get points when you put money on the card.
The way it works is that you pay in a certain amount each month to your Clubcard Plus account and then use the card to pay for your shopping at Tesco. You then receive double points, in other words two points for every pound spent.
Also, if you don't happen to have any money in your Clubcard Plus account, you can pay with cash/another card and still use your Clubcard Plus to receive one point per pound (like a regular Clubcard).
I got mine back in 1997 when I was at uni, but you're right I haven't seen it advertised for years. It even confuses the Tesco staff when I hand it over!0 -

Yes, have had one of these for years. I pay in by d.debit each month and get double points on my shop if you pay with it (indeed like a debit card).
You can add to your balance if you want to anytime by handing over cash and your card at the Customer Services desk (you get a recipt in return). If you want to get the cash out anytime in the month just ask for cashback when you pay (you can buy anthing small and have upto £100 cashback at a time. If you want more you can use the cash machine with the PIN they send you or have £150 back from Customer Services desk.
Well worth having, no disadvantages at all other than you can't have cashback from their filling station tills.0
