I'm currently completing a job application for a new job.
However I'm really struggling to answer one of the questions.
It asks give experience of working within an organisations policies and procedures and for the life of me I can't think what to write.
I've tried googling it and makes more reference to policies such as no mobiles phones, dress code, behaviors, time off and holidays etc.
So I'm stumped is that they are meaning they want me to give experience of.
Thanks

I have to rush out now, but will give this a thought. Could you give some indication of what level the job is at? Do they want indication that you are just conforming to P & P, helping to contribute to them, writing them?
(One simple answer might be that you never took your mobile on to the shop floor, and those affected by this policy asked for, or were provided with, lockers to keep their phones in, so you arranged with someone who had to contact you that they rang you at lunchtime so that you could keep your other break times flexible for your employer.)Ex board guide. I believe this will be more along the lines of following a customer complaints procedure, for example taking the complaint details whilst reassuring the customer and escalating according to defined process.Started 07/15. What's the job? What you choose will depend on the job you're applying for.
Health and safety (every organisation has H&S guidelines you have to follow, if you've pointed out/got an issue addressed, even better) confidentiality, recording, safeguarding, complaints? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
RBSG has a million policies and procedures, surely your current job is subject to some of them? They were the bane of my life by the time I left there, and I'd be surprised if things have got much better in the last 9 years.0

Yeah they have loads however im unsure from the question if the mean general polices such as no mobile phones or whether they want details of polices and procedures within the work I actually do. In that case I would not really be able to give examples of them due the nature of them.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

OK, so there are customers involved. I still think that a mobile phone one might be good as it says no mobile phones. If I could not have access to a mobile phone in the day I would have to make sure that there was a neighbour available to take phone calls, just in case my husband/mother had a fall/ my child's school needed to get hold of me. My neighbour would happy to do this in return for a nice restaurant meal once a month, especially as they were very unlikely actually to get called........
A better example might be to think of how a policy made you prioritise people. My job on the match betting board makes me think of what I might have to do to ensure that I did checks on customers who appeared to be under 25 - quite a few jobs will need to decide how old some customers are, or how vulnerable they are. What do/did you do to assess age/vulnerability and how did you then proceed?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Thanks think I've got my head round it now.
Im thinking for an office environment i may use internet usage policy as my response.
I was going to use clear desk policy but I've already used that scenario in a another question regarding data protection.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
