    Hi, for those of you who have recently applied with Halifax, how many months bank statements did you have to provide?

    Hoops77, how recent we're your payday loans when you applied for your mortgage with Halifax? Was it this year?

    None at all. However it all depends on your own circumstances.

    Most stressful thing ever .. Ha

    Had to re-apply for my HTB Equity loan, applied for that yesterday evening so should hear back shortly on that then we should be able to arrange exchange etc.
  • Just a heads up, your solicitor will need to apply for Authority to Exchange from HTB prior to exchanging contracts, which is where I'm at now. He's just sent off the documents for the third time (after two amendments) and it takes 2-3 working days to get a response each time. Fingers crossed it goes through this time.

    We got Authority to Proceed and our mortgage offer over 8 weeks ago, but still haven't exchanged.

    More issues :( Help to Buy have come back to me and said they won't allow HTB based on the mortgage valuation of £240,000 as we are paying £246,000 and bridging the gap.
    Back to the negotiation table :(

    So to update;

    Valuation appeal submitted 20/8/17
    Appeal rejected; 24/8/17
    Halifax instruct 2nd valuation 24/8/17 - CS Manager has emailed management at Colleys asking for either Colleys/Countrywide to do this, the latter has recently valued an identical house type at the full asking price of £249,950.

    Hopefully we can get this sorted now ...
