    I don't eat eggs & cheese so DH doesn't get fed these but he knows he could always cook for himself if he wanted them. He rarely does as he always says that he gets 'menu envy' of whatever I have instead! Over the years I have introduced more veg, spicy foods, less salt, far less processed food mainly because I wanted to eat healthier.

    Mmm sounds delicious. OH won't even eat roast sweet potatoes for a change though :rotfl:

    Work your way through a cookbook such as one of those hairu biker ones - just start at the beginning...!

    Do a roast joint with mixed roast vegs. .And gravy for him to hide the veg. Then slice the remaining meat to add the odd slice to the stirfrys and salads...or with gravy just to make meat and potatoes on a day you don't want to struggle.

    I find a veg soup followed by egg, chips and peas goes down ok with meat eaters.

    And as with teenagers, if they learn to make something new such as chilli with success, then another dish from the same area such as chicken enchiladas can be suggested..these very flavourful dishes can have loads of veg added..

    I think sometimes folks are a bit afraid of new food, that it will be disgusting to them, they might become sick or hungry. Possibly from some experience in childhood. So patience is essential.

    Have you tried falafels? In a wrap with all the trimmings?

    After 34 years, it does get boring cooking. Although my DH works fulltime, he cooks twice a week as I am so fed up with it now.

    Soya mince, as sold by Tesco etc., can be quite convincing as a meat substitute these days in almost any mince recipe. Much better texture-wise than it used to be.

    I've made spag bols and lasagnes using it and some fairly dedicated meat-eaters haven't realised until told. You can also mix it with turkey (thigh) mince if you want.

    Linda McCartney sausages are also spot on for bangers. Buy nothing else as 'veggie sausages', especially the dreadful Quorn rubbish, as you'll be put off for life.
