I've seemed to have lost Friday. Work was busy and spilled into lunch and break times. I then marked like a loon after work so I didn't have to cart it home and then it was fly home and changed before the kids and I went to a family party. We didn't get home until after 12 so it was straight to bed!
Seeing close and extended family was so nice and the kids loved it. I'm constantly delighted by how important family is to them. Their cousins are plentiful with a real range of ages and they all get on so well. All of them love my mum and dad to bits and show it which is so nice to observe. I'm a very lucky piggy:)
Yesterday was very low spend as food and wine were provided so just £3.40 on soft drinks for ds.
Today's to dos are:
Visit mum and dad
Meal plan, list and shop
Take dd and bf to the station
Help ds with homework
Laundry
Make pizza for dinner
Get out for a run.
Happy Weekend

My kids are an adult and a near adult Cath - much easier for me as I can go pretty much when I please. Its tough to find time and energy when they're younger . I'm also one of those weirdos that enjoys it:rotfl: . Hope you and yours are having a lovely weekend. Will pop over to your diary to have a catch up xxOriginal mortgage £112,000 . Blimey its cold! I left going for a run until late as the day just got away on me and it was proper lung cracklingly cold. B****y slippery too, I had to concentrate so hard on not landing flat on my face that it distracted me from my freezing extremities which was good:)
Today has been a good day. I visited mum and dad early doors and did a few little jobs they can no longer manage. I convinced dad it was too cold and slippery to venture out and left him happily watching The Desert Rats for the umpteenth time and scoffing some of ds's hm chocolate tart I found in the freezer:D
DD and bf are off for the weekend so I dropped them at the station and helped ds with some homework and had an hour reading my book. DS tidied up the garden which saved me a job and justified me having a bit of R&R::p
No real money news as I'm still waiting for pay day. The term too much month for the money is certainly true of January:eek:
Successes have included;
Meal plan for the next three weeks done based around freezer and store cupboard so I'm hoping for three low spend weeks. This week's shop was £11.57 which wasn't bad considering we were out of fresh fruit, shampoo,dog food and loo roll. I have however, based on my weekly target for 2018, got 13p to last until the 28th:rotfl: I'm taking comfort from the fact that I've got a freezer full of meat and a restocked spice cupboard but I'm going to be over and I hate that:mad:
Nsd apart from grocery shop
Overnight oats made
Laundry done and on the airer
Cheap, healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, hm Thai noodle soup and ys artisan rolls for lunch and batch cooked veggie curry and hm naan from the freezer for dinner).
My treat after my Baltic run was a long, hot shower and a hot chocolate in my pjs:). I've got to pick ds up from his friend's later so I may need to get changed or just put my coat over the top and hope the car doesn't breakdown:rotfl:
Tomorrow's to dos include;
Do something interesting with a huge ys gammon joint. Think I'll mustard and honey glaze it and have it with pineapple and baked potatoes. The rest of it is earmarked for easy mid week dinners next week.
Fold and put away laundry
Get ds ready for big food tech assessment day
Filing
Get the dog out for a nice long walk
Collect dd from the station and catch up on her adventures:)
Off to do more reading, hope I can stay awake!
