Think there is an element of luck at this time of year - A!di had loads of 1\2 price joints yesterday:D
I tend to go to Asda on my way home from my classes as I'm passing anyway. Its usually 7.30 ish which is final reduction time. Difficult for you to time visits with a little one but hopefully you'll get the odd bit of luck as they clear out the festive deluge. XOriginal mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.

Yes 7:30 when hubby is away so much is a challenge. I'm going to hit Ald1 tomorrow and see what they've got (hubby insists I buy enough mince pies to last us until next Christmas... urm no!)
Thanks for your help.
All the best for 2018.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Either the boards are very busy or I've been neglecting my diary, I found it on page 4:eek: must try harder!
A very belated December round up from me;
Lifestyle goals
4 x exercise per week - achieved apart from the week I was ill. Even managed a run on Christmas day!:D
Spring clean living room and kitchen - done and all decs packed away in the attic .:D
Finish garden tidy - almost thanks to ds but there is still a large shrub to dig out and bulbs to plant.
Financial
My budgets generally held up with some over and some under. The final mortgage figures are;
Os payment £917.80/£400:j
Avc £800/£800 (net) :j
Capital reduction £2192.25/£1216 :j
Mortgage neutral balance (mortgage debt minus off set balance)
£94,847.61 :beer::j:j
My goal was sub £95k by the end of January so I'm delighted:):)
I'm off to ponder successes and could do betters for 2017 before nailing down what needs to happen in 2018. Thanks (again) for the ideas, challenges, helpful nudges and pick me ups when things go off kilter. So glad I found these boards, the focus and support is changing my little family's lives:)
Happy New Year (a bit late) to you all. May 2018 bring you health, happiness and tumbling mortgage balances:A
