  • Well done on surviving Monday and what sounds like a barginous weekend! As well as productive in the MSE front! :T

Freezer challenge is my next task...as well as the daily clean which I'm getting there with, house looking less like a tip ...gradually! :rotfl:

Love weekend mornings taking coffee back to bed! .shame it's only Tuesday tomorrow!! :rotfl:
MF planning for the simple life :j
  • Last week, almost a full 9 months after completing the purchased. It finally registered with the Land Registry and now our house and the official sold price is on right move.
  • The problem with us as a society is we have come to learn and accept usury. If inflation didn't exist and this complete evil of usury, the world would be a much better place. Instead everyone is at it. Kids come out of Uni 40-50k in debt and then they have to pay even higher interest on their loans than we do on our mortgages. It's absurd.

Sounds like one to avoid -thank:p

Do people really pay £1.25 for a yogurt? I'd want a family pack for that :rotfl:

Hope your little one slept OK. Those nights of broken sleep are really tough xx

He had a long period sleeping in my arms and wouldn't be put down. Then he started his day at 5:30. I lifted him out of his cot and climbed back into bed while he played in his room and kept bringing me books to 'read'

As for the cost of premium yoghurts. Some people have more money than sense!

I've just watched a documentary on children living in poverty:(
What a luxury to have the choice to spend or not to spend - when I start to feel sorry for myself I'm going to try and think back to this. Feeling grateful for my happy, healthy kids and our lovely home :)

Sunny but very cold start here. I hung the washing out before I went to work and my hands were frozen by the time I'd done it. It made a lovely, sunny day though so my washing was all dry by the time I got home. I folded it and put it away as this is a good habit I'm trying to get into as part of my clean and organise my house routine. Given half the chance its sits in a bag for ages:o
Work was good, the odd drama but that's teaching:D. Everybody was happy by the end of the day which is always good.
In money news Shopium paid £1.60 for my cider into my account so that was paid to the os account. My NatWest rewards have also gone above £5 so I can exchange them. £5.80 cash requested and will be os once it is paid into my account.

    Other MFW/life successes included;

    A nsd

Cheap, healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, kids had ys pancakes and bananas, lo spaghetti with hm tomato and basil sauce from the freezer with salad for lunch, char sui pork and vegetable rice from the freezer for dinner). No cooking again and have actual pockets of space in the freezer:j

A spin class. My monthly membership is working out at around £1.45 a class :money: I also feel so much better for getting myself into an active routine.

Managed to help (rather than look bewildered) with ds's maths homework.

    Marking up to date

Worked out how to get meter readings off my smartmeter and sent them to my new supplier

Activated ds's new sim card and transferred his old number (hopefully - we'll see tomorrow:eek:)

In bed nice and early with a cup of tea and the electric blanket on - bliss:rotfl:

Happy Tuesday night to you all :)

    PP xx

Thank goodness, I am pooped - sincerely hope I haven't peaked or its going to be a long term:eek: I've also got a weird half a sore throat??!!
Other than that its been a reasonable day. I've got a challenging class so I'm ever on my toes but so far they've been better than I thought they'd be:)
As I marked through break and lunch I got a reasonably early finish so I got to spend a bit more time with the kids before they went off and did their thing. I do love to see them moving confidently towards independence but I also truly miss that time when we did everything together. Not really looking forward to my nest being empty:(

I've had an unexpectedly spendy day today. I read Martin's email and sorry to mention the C word but i thought I'm not getting caught on the hop with little stocking fillers, especially for ds (never seem short of ideas for dd) so ear phones, phone cases and bits of jewellery winging their way from China for a grand total of £4.96:money: Hopefully they'll be here in plenty of time.
Then came £7 for staff room supplies (which is stonking good value for a term) followed by £7.77 on 36 toilet rolls, dog biscuits and 6 toothbrushes ( as you can see I've been pushing the boat out:rotfl:)
In other money news I os a TT of £1.02:)
    As a result of lethargy I've left most of the jobs I planned to do but did manage;

To make spaghetti carbonara for tea (with enough lo for lunch tomorrow)

To get hm chicken pie filling made with lo roast out of the freezer for tomorrow's dinner.

Cheap eats - porridge for breakfast and lo Chinese pork and veg rice for lunch

    A yoga class

Washed a load of laundry and hung it on the airer.

Only one week until pay day and my month end calculations. Can't wait:D

Off to bed as my eyes are actually closing!
